Jack Bond

Born in Pensacola Florida in 1948. Mr. Bond grew up in St. Petersburg Florida from the age of 5, attended high school there and St. Petersburg Junior College, later moving to New York City to attend the School of Visual Arts and later back to Florida to finish his formal education at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

During the 1970’s and 80’s he worked as a graphic artist and showed extensively around Florida, including such prestigious shows as Coconut Grove in Miami, Gasparilla in Tampa, Winter Park in Orlando, approximately 75 shows during this period. Showing a range of work including serigraphy, painting, and gum bichromate photography. Also many juried shows including the annual Festival of States competition, Florida Creates 1973, a year long exhibition that traveled to eight major venues in Florida. In 2004, a 20 year retrospective at Horizon Line Gallery in Tampa. For seventeen years Mr. Bond owned the Kent Bond Gallery in Tampa.

Since early 2008 Mr. Bond has been making collage of found images. They were shown for the first time in the winter of 2010.
